Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Seychelles Travel Authorization
Online pre-approval required
Apply for your Travel Authorization at seychelles.govtas.com at least 24 hours before departure. The fee is €10 per person and approval comes back within minutes. Print the approval email or save it on your phone — immigration checks it before you board.Apply for Travel AuthRequired
Valid passport
Must cover entire stay
Your passport needs at least one blank page for the entry stamp. Seychelles does not enforce the 6-month validity rule — your passport just needs to be valid for the duration of your stay.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure
Immigration officers ask for a confirmed onward ticket at the counter. A flight booking out of Seychelles within 90 days works — they rarely check if it's refundable.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation letter
Have your hotel confirmation or host's invitation letter ready. Officers sometimes ask where you're staying, especially if you arrive without a pre-booked resort.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Carry a bank statement or credit card showing you have enough for your stay. Seychelles is expensive — budget at least $150–$200 per day for accommodation, food, and island transfers.Recommended
No visa, no fee, no form
South Korean passport holders get a free 90-day visitor permit on arrival. No application, no payment, no online form. Just show up with a valid passport and a return ticket.
Passport validity is strictly enforced
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your entry date. Airlines check this before boarding, and immigration checks it on arrival. If you're close to the limit, renew your passport first.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at Seychelles International Airport (SEZ)
You'll land at the main airport on Mahé island. Follow signs to 'Immigration' — it's a single hall, usually quick.
2
Queue at the immigration counter
Join the line for foreign visitors. Have your passport, return ticket (on your phone or printed), and accommodation confirmation ready. The officer will check your passport validity and may ask your purpose of visit.
3
Receive entry stamp
If everything is in order, the officer will stamp your passport with a visitor's permit valid for up to 90 days. No fee, no form to fill. Keep the stamp visible — you'll need it when leaving.
4
Collect luggage and exit
After immigration, head to baggage claim, then customs. There's usually nothing to declare unless you're carrying large amounts of cash or restricted goods.
