Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of your stay
Your South Korean passport needs to be valid for the entire time you plan to stay in Tunisia. Tunisia does not require 6 months of validity beyond your departure date, but airlines may enforce their own rules — check with your carrier before flying.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Tunisia
Immigration officers at Tunis-Carthage Airport routinely ask for a return or onward ticket before granting entry. Have a printed or digital copy of your outbound flight booking ready — they will check the date matches your 90-day visa-free limit.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a printed hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your host in Tunisia. Officers rarely ask for it, but having it ready avoids delays if they do.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Have a bank statement or credit card showing you have enough money for your stay. There is no fixed minimum amount, but around 50 TND (about $16 USD) per day is a safe benchmark if asked.Recommended
No visa needed, but don't skip the basics
Visa-free doesn't mean no preparation. Make sure your passport is valid 6 months from entry, have a return ticket, and keep a copy of your accommodation booking. These are the three things immigration checks most often.
Overstaying is not an option
The 90-day stay cannot be extended. Overstaying even a day can lead to a fine and a record that may affect future travel to Tunisia. Set a reminder to leave before day 90.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at Tunis–Carthage Airport (or other entry point)
You'll go through passport control. Join the queue for foreign passports. Have your passport and return ticket ready. The officer will stamp you in for up to 90 days. No visa fee, no forms to fill.
2
Collect your luggage and exit
After passport control, head to baggage claim, then customs. Green channel if nothing to declare. Red channel if you have goods over the duty-free limit.
3
Set up connectivity
Once outside, activate your eSIM or buy a local SIM at the airport shop. Tunisie Telecom and Ooredoo have kiosks in the arrivals hall.
