What happens at the border

1
Arrive at Heydar Aliyev International Airport (GYD)
Most visitors fly into Baku's main airport. Follow the signs to 'Passport Control' after landing. There are separate queues for Azerbaijan citizens and foreigners — join the 'Foreigners' line.
2
Present your passport to the border officer
Hand over your Kuwaiti passport. The officer will check your details, possibly ask about your trip (purpose, duration, where you're staying), and then stamp your passport with a 30-day entry stamp. This usually takes a few minutes.
3
Collect your luggage and exit
After the stamp, proceed to baggage claim, then customs. There's usually a green 'Nothing to Declare' channel if you have no restricted items. You're now free to enter Azerbaijan.
