Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must cover your entire stay in Bahrain
Your passport needs at least 6 months validity from your date of entry into Bahrain. Airlines check this before boarding — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Bahrain
Immigration officers at Bahrain International Airport routinely ask for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy of your flight booking ready — they will check the date matches your intended stay.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a hotel confirmation or a letter from your host in Bahrain. Immigration may ask where you are staying, especially if you arrive without a clear itinerary.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself during your stay
Have a bank statement or credit card ready. Bahrain does not enforce a fixed minimum amount, but officers may ask how you plan to cover your expenses.Recommended
No visa needed — but carry these documents
Even though you don't need a visa, immigration may ask for your return ticket and hotel booking. Keep them on your phone or printed. It's rare, but better to be prepared.
GCC e-gates available
Kuwaiti passport holders can use the GCC e-gates at Bahrain International Airport for faster entry. Register online before your trip if you haven't already.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at Bahrain International Airport (BAH)
After landing, follow signs to 'Arrivals' and then to 'Passport Control'. There are separate queues for GCC nationals and other nationalities. As a Kuwaiti, you can use the GCC e-gates if available, or join the regular queue.
2
Present Your Passport and Documents
Hand over your passport. The officer may ask for your return ticket and hotel booking. Have them ready on your phone or printed. Answer any questions clearly.
3
Get Your Entry Stamp
The officer will stamp your passport with a 90-day visit permit. No fee is charged. You can then proceed to baggage claim and customs.
4
Exit Customs
After collecting your luggage, walk through the green channel if you have nothing to declare. If you have items to declare, use the red channel.
