What happens at the border

1
Apply for a Schengen visa
Visit the Spanish consulate in Kuwait City or a designated visa application center (e.g., BLS International). Submit your application, passport, photos, travel insurance, flight and hotel bookings, bank statements, and a completed form. Pay the fee (€80 for adults, €40 for children 6-12). Processing takes about 15 calendar days, but apply at least 4-6 weeks before your trip.
2
Arrive at a Spanish airport
When you land at Madrid-Barajas, Barcelona-El Prat, or any other Spanish airport, join the non-EU passport queue. Have your passport with the visa sticker, return ticket, and hotel booking ready. The officer may ask about your plans — answer clearly. They'll stamp your passport with the entry date and allowed stay.
3
During your stay
You can travel freely within the Schengen area (26 European countries) for up to 90 days within any 180-day period. Carry your passport and a copy of your visa at all times. If you lose your passport, contact the Kuwaiti embassy in Madrid immediately.
