Passport validity is strictly enforced
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you enter Ukraine. If it's even one day short, you'll be refused boarding or entry. Check your passport's expiry date before booking flights.
Keep a copy of your return ticket
Immigration officers may ask to see proof of onward travel. A screenshot or printed copy is fine. Without it, you could be questioned or delayed.
What happens at the border

Arrive at the border
At Kyiv Boryspil, Lviv, or any land border crossing, join the 'Foreign Passports' queue. Have your passport and return ticket ready. The officer will check your passport validity, stamp you in, and you're done — usually under 5 minutes.

Show your documents
Hand over your passport. If asked, show your return ticket (printed or on phone) and accommodation booking. No visa form to fill. The officer may ask your purpose of visit — just say 'tourism' or 'business'.

Receive entry stamp
The officer stamps your passport with the date of entry. Check the stamp is legible before walking away. That stamp is your permission to stay up to 90 days.
