6 months validity required
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended departure date from Uganda. Airlines check this at check-in — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding.Required

Proof of onward travel
Immigration officers at Entebbe Airport routinely ask for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy of your flight itinerary ready — they may deny entry if you cannot show one.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation letter
Carry a hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your host in Uganda. Officers occasionally ask for this at the border, especially for first-time visitors.Recommended
Proof of funds
Sufficient cash or bank statement
Have at least $200 USD in cash or a recent bank statement showing you can cover your stay. Immigration may ask for proof of funds if you look underprepared.Recommended
Apply early — no visa on arrival
Uganda does not offer visa on arrival for Kuwaiti passport holders. You must have an approved eVisa before you board your flight. Apply at least 7 days before departure.
Yellow fever vaccine recommended
Uganda is a yellow fever zone. Even if it's not mandatory for your route, getting the vaccine protects you and avoids any hassle at the border. Carry the yellow card with your passport.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to visas.immigration.go.ug, create an account, fill in your details, upload a passport photo and passport scan, and pay the fee (around $50 USD for a single-entry tourist visa). Processing takes 2–5 business days. You'll get an approval letter by email.
2
Print or save your eVisa approval
Once approved, print a copy and also save the PDF on your phone. You'll show this at immigration in Entebbe or at any land border crossing.
3
Arrive at Entebbe Airport (or land border)
At Entebbe, follow signs to 'Visas & Immigration'. Hand over your passport, eVisa approval, and return ticket. They'll take your photo and fingerprints. The whole process takes 10–20 minutes if you have everything ready.
4
Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, grab your bags from the carousel, then walk through customs. Green channel if you have nothing to declare. Red channel if you're carrying cash over $10,000 or restricted goods.
