Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply before travel
Apply for a Pakistan eVisa at visa.nadra.gov.pk at least 7 days before departure. The eVisa is valid for single or multiple entries depending on the type selected. Print the approval letter and carry it with your passport — immigration at Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi will check it before stamping entry.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must cover your entire stay
Your Kazakhstan passport must be valid for at least the full duration of your stay in Pakistan. Airlines check this at check-in — if your passport expires before you leave, you will be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure
Immigration officers at Pakistani airports routinely ask for a confirmed onward or return ticket. Have a printed copy or a digital version ready on your phone. Without one, you risk being refused entry and sent back on the next flight.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation letter
Carry a hotel reservation confirmation or a letter from your host in Pakistan. Immigration may ask where you are staying — having a printed booking avoids delays at the counter.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Have bank statements or a credit card showing access to at least $200 USD per day of your stay. Officers rarely ask, but if they do, you need to demonstrate you can cover expenses without working illegally.Recommended
eVisa is the only option for tourism
Kazakhstani citizens cannot get a visa on arrival for Pakistan. You must have an approved eVisa before you travel.
Passport validity is strictly enforced
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your entry date. Airlines check this before boarding. If it's close, renew first.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the official NADRA visa portal (visa.nadra.gov.pk). Fill in your personal details, upload a passport photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee online. Processing usually takes 3-5 working days.
2
Receive and save your eVisa
Once approved, you'll get a PDF by email. Print a copy and also save it on your phone. You'll need to show it at the airport check-in and to immigration on arrival.
3
Arrive at a Pakistani airport
Most travellers fly into Islamabad, Lahore, or Karachi. At immigration, present your passport and eVisa. The officer will stamp you in. Have your return ticket and hotel booking ready in case they ask.
4
Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, pick up your bags from the carousel. Then proceed to customs. If you have nothing to declare, use the green channel. You're free to go.
