Your passport must be valid for the full duration of your stay in Kosovo. No minimum validity beyond departure is required, but airlines may enforce 6 months — check with your carrier.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure
Immigration at Pristina Airport may ask for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy ready showing your exit from Kosovo or the Schengen area.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Border officers occasionally ask for a hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your host in Kosovo. Keep a copy of your booking confirmation on your phone.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
You may be asked to show you have enough money for your stay. Carry a bank statement or credit card with at least €100 per day of your trip.Recommended
Schengen visa holders can skip the e-Visa
If you have a valid Schengen visa, you can enter Kosovo without applying for a separate visa. Just show it at the border. This applies to stays up to 15 days.
Passport validity counts from entry date
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you arrive in Kosovo, not from when you apply. If it's close to expiring, renew it first.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the e-Visa online
Go to the official Kosovo e-Visa website (e-viza.rks-gov.net). Create an account, fill in your details, upload your passport scan and accommodation booking, and pay the €30 fee. Processing usually takes 3–5 business days.
2
Receive your visa approval
Once approved, you'll get a PDF by email. Print it out and also save a copy on your phone. You'll need to show it at the border.
3
Arrive at Pristina International Airport
When you land at Pristina Airport, head to the immigration queue for non-EU passports. Have your passport, visa approval, return ticket, and accommodation confirmation ready. The officer will stamp you in.
