No eVisa option for Lao nationals

Complete the online application
Go to GOV.UK and fill out the Standard Visitor visa application. You'll need your passport details, travel dates, and address in the UK. Pay the £115 fee online.

Book and attend biometric appointment
After submitting, book an appointment at the VFS Global centre in Bangkok (or another VAC if you're outside Laos). Bring your printed application, passport, and supporting documents. You'll give fingerprints and a photo.

Submit supporting documents
Upload your documents to the online portal or bring them to your appointment. The VAC will scan and forward them to UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI).

Wait for a decision
Standard processing takes about 3 weeks, but can be longer during peak seasons. You'll receive an email with the decision. If approved, your passport will be returned with the visa vignette.

Travel to the UK
On arrival, go through UK Border Control. Have your passport with the vignette ready. You may be asked questions about your trip. The visa allows a stay of up to 6 months.
