Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply before departure
You need a visa to enter Bangladesh. Apply online at the official eVisa portal at least 7 days before travel. The eVisa costs $51 USD for a single-entry tourist visa and is processed within 3–5 working days.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for 6 months beyond arrival
Your Lebanese passport must have at least 6 months of validity remaining from your date of entry into Bangladesh. Airlines check this at check-in — they will deny boarding if your passport expires sooner.Required
Return or onward ticket
Required for entry
Immigration officers in Dhaka and Chittagong routinely ask for a confirmed return or onward flight ticket. Have a printed copy or a screenshot ready on your phone. This applies even if you hold a valid eVisa.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation letter
Carry a hotel reservation confirmation or a letter of invitation from your host in Bangladesh. Immigration may ask where you are staying — having a printed booking avoids delays at the counter.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support your stay
Have at least $500 USD in cash or a credit card statement showing available funds. Immigration officers rarely ask, but if they do, you need to demonstrate you can cover your expenses without working.Recommended
No visa-on-arrival for Lebanese passport holders
Bangladesh does not offer visa-on-arrival to Lebanese citizens. You must get your visa approved before you travel. Arriving without one means immediate denial of entry.
Passport validity counts from entry date
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you land in Bangladesh, not from the day you apply. If it expires sooner, renew it first.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for your visa online
Go to the official Bangladesh eVisa website (evisa.gov.bd). Fill in your personal details, passport info, travel dates, and upload a passport-style photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee online with a credit or debit card.
2
Wait for approval
Processing usually takes 3–7 business days. You'll receive an email with your eVisa approval letter. Print a copy — you'll need it at the airport and at immigration in Bangladesh.
3
Arrive at the airport in Bangladesh
At Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (DAC) in Dhaka, head to the 'Foreign Passport' queue. Have your passport, printed eVisa, return ticket, and hotel booking ready. The officer may ask a few questions about your trip — answer clearly.
4
Get your passport stamped
Once approved, the officer stamps your passport with your entry date and allowed stay. Double-check the stamp before leaving the counter. Then proceed to baggage claim and customs.
