Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply online before travel
You need an eVisa to enter Pakistan. Apply at the official NADRA eVisa portal — processing usually takes 5–7 working days. Print the approval letter and carry it with your passport.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid on arrival
Your Lebanese passport must be valid for at least the duration of your stay in Pakistan. Airlines check this at check-in — if it expires before you leave, you will be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure
Immigration at Pakistani airports routinely asks for a confirmed onward or return ticket. Have a printed copy or a screenshot ready — they may check it before stamping you in.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation letter
Carry a hotel reservation or a letter from your host in Pakistan. Immigration officers sometimes ask where you are staying — having it printed saves time.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Have bank statements or a credit card ready. Officers rarely ask, but if they do, showing at least $500 USD equivalent in cash or card statements works.Recommended
Passport validity counts from entry date
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you land in Pakistan, not from your departure date. If it expires sooner, renew it before applying for the eVisa.
eVisa is the only option for Lebanese citizens
There is no visa-on-arrival for Lebanese passport holders. You must get the eVisa approved before you travel. Apply early to avoid last-minute stress.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to visa.nadra.gov.pk and fill out the application. Upload a scanned copy of your passport bio page and a recent passport-style photo. Pay the fee (around $8–$20 depending on nationality) by credit card. Processing takes 3–5 business days on average.
2
Receive and print your eVisa
Once approved, you'll get a PDF by email. Print at least one copy and save it on your phone. You'll need to show it at check-in and at immigration in Pakistan.
3
Arrive at a Pakistani airport
Major entry points: Islamabad (ISB), Karachi (KHI), Lahore (LHE). At immigration, present your passport, printed eVisa, and return ticket. The officer will stamp your passport — the stay period is usually 30 days, but check your eVisa for exact duration.
4
Collect your luggage and exit
After clearing immigration, proceed to baggage claim. Customs is generally straightforward for personal items. If you're carrying expensive electronics or large amounts of cash (over $5,000 USD equivalent), declare them.

Frequently asked questions

Most applications are processed within 3–5 business days. Apply at least a week before your trip to be safe. You'll receive the decision by email.
The eVisa is not extendable. If you need to stay longer, you must leave and reapply for a new visa. Overstaying can result in fines and future visa denials.
If you're staying airside and not passing through immigration, you generally don't need a visa. But check with your airline — some require a transit visa even for connecting flights.
Rejections are rare but can happen if documents are incomplete or if there are security concerns. You can reapply with corrected information. There's no formal appeal process.
Yes, the eVisa is valid for entry at all international airports in Pakistan: Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, and Faisalabad. Land borders may have different rules — check before traveling overland.
It's not a standard requirement, but immigration officers can ask. Carry a credit card or a small amount of cash (USD or PKR) just in case. ATMs are widely available in cities.
No, it's not required for the visa application or entry. But it's strongly recommended because medical costs in private hospitals can be high — a single day in a private room can cost $200–$500.
