Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Seychelles Travel Authorization (eTA)
Apply online before travel
Apply at seychelles.govtas.com at least 24 hours before departure. The eTA costs $10 USD and is valid for a single entry. Approval comes via email within minutes — print the confirmation or save it on your phone.Apply for eTARequired
Valid passport
Must cover your entire stay
Your passport needs at least one blank page for the entry stamp. Seychelles does not enforce the 6-month validity rule — just make sure it covers your full 90-day stay.Required
Return or onward ticket
Immigration checks this at arrival
You must show a confirmed return or onward flight out of Seychelles. Immigration officers at Mahé International Airport ask for this before they stamp you in.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation letter
Have your hotel reservation or a letter from your host ready. Immigration may ask where you are staying — show the booking confirmation on your phone or a printed copy.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can cover your stay
Carry a bank statement or credit card showing you have enough money for 90 days. Seychelles is expensive — expect to show at least $150 USD per day if asked.Recommended
Passport validity is strictly enforced
Airlines check this before you board. If your passport has less than 6 months validity from your arrival date, you will be denied boarding. No exceptions.
Keep digital copies of everything
Save screenshots of your return ticket, hotel booking, and passport info page on your phone. If you lose your passport, these make replacement much easier.

What happens at the border

1
Before you fly
Check your passport validity (6+ months from arrival). Book your return/onward ticket and first night's accommodation. Print or save digital copies of your booking confirmations and travel insurance. Pack a pen for the immigration form on the plane.
2
On arrival at Seychelles International Airport (SEZ)
After landing, follow signs to Immigration. You'll fill out a simple arrival card (usually handed out on the plane). Join the queue for foreign passports. Present your passport, arrival card, and return ticket if asked. The officer will stamp you in for up to 90 days. The whole process usually takes 15-30 minutes.
3
After immigration
Collect your luggage, then proceed through customs. There's a green channel for nothing to declare and a red channel for goods over the duty-free limit. Exit into the arrivals hall where taxis and car rentals are available.

Frequently asked questions

No, you don't need a visa. Lebanese citizens get visa-free entry for up to 90 days for tourism or business. Just show up with a valid passport and the required documents.
No, the visa-free entry is not extendable. If you want to stay longer, you'd need to leave and re-enter, or apply for a different type of permit before your 90 days expire. Overstaying can result in fines or deportation.
You'll likely be denied boarding by the airline or refused entry by Seychelles immigration. Renew your passport before traveling. There are no exceptions for this rule.
Yes, any onward ticket works — it doesn't have to be a return to Lebanon. As long as you have proof you're leaving Seychelles within the 90-day period, you're fine.
It's not officially required for entry, but it's strongly recommended. Medical costs in Seychelles are high — a simple hospital visit can cost hundreds of dollars. Get a policy that covers medical evacuation.
Overstaying is taken seriously. You may be fined, detained, or banned from re-entering. If you need more time, contact the Seychelles Department of Immigration before your visa-free period expires.
No. The visa-free entry is strictly for tourism and short business visits (meetings, conferences). For work or study, you need to apply for the appropriate permit from the Seychelles government before you arrive.
