Immigration officers may ask for a return or onward ticket to confirm you plan to leave Ukraine within your visa validity. Have a printed or digital copy ready.Recommended
Proof of accommodation

Have bank statements, cash, or a credit card showing sufficient funds for your trip. There's no fixed minimum amount, but around $50 USD per day is a safe benchmark.Recommended

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to evisa.gov.ua/en/, fill out the application form, upload a passport-style photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (around $20-30 USD depending on processing time). Wait for approval — typically 5-10 working days.
2
Print your eVisa approval
Once approved, you'll receive a PDF. Print it and save a copy on your phone. You'll show this at the airline check-in counter and again at Ukrainian border control.
3
Arrive at the airport in Ukraine
At Kyiv Boryspil (KBP) or Lviv (LWO), follow signs to 'Foreign Passports'. Hand over your passport, eVisa printout, and return ticket. The officer will stamp you in. Expect a short interview — they may ask where you're staying and why you're visiting.
4
Register your stay (if staying more than 3 days)
Your hotel or host must register you with the local migration office within 3 days of arrival. If you're in a private apartment, the host handles this. Ask for a registration slip — keep it until you leave.
