What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the official Uganda immigration portal (visas.immigration.go.ug) and fill out the application. Upload a passport-style photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee online with a credit card. Processing usually takes 2–5 business days.
2
Receive and print your eVisa approval
Once approved, you'll get an email with your eVisa attached. Print a copy and also save it on your phone. You'll show this at check-in and upon arrival in Uganda.
3
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport
When you land at Entebbe, head to the immigration hall. Join the queue for 'Visitors' or 'Foreign Passports'. Have your passport, eVisa printout, return ticket, and accommodation confirmation ready. The officer will stamp your passport and let you through.
4
Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, collect your bags from the carousel. You may be asked to show your customs declaration form (if you have one). Then walk through the green channel if you have nothing to declare.
