Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply before travel
Apply for a Zimbabwe eVisa at the official portal before departure. Processing takes 3-5 business days, so apply at least a week ahead. Print the approval letter and carry it with your passport — immigration at Harare and Victoria Falls will ask to see it.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of stay
Your Lebanese passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended departure date from Zimbabwe. Airlines at Beirut–Rafic Hariri check this before boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of onward travel
Immigration officers at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International and Victoria Falls routinely ask for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed copy or a screenshot ready on your phone.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation letter
Carry a printed hotel confirmation or a letter of invitation from your host. Officers at the border occasionally ask for it, especially if you're arriving without a clear itinerary.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show sufficient cash or card
Have at least $500 USD in cash or a credit card statement showing available funds. Immigration may ask how you'll support yourself during the stay.Recommended
eVisa is mandatory — no exceptions
Lebanese passport holders cannot get a visa on arrival. You must have an approved eVisa before you fly. Airlines check this at check-in, and without it you won't be allowed to board.
Passport validity counts from entry, not departure
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you land in Zimbabwe. If it expires sooner, renew it before applying for the eVisa.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for eVisa online
Go to the official Zimbabwe eVisa website (evisa.gov.zw) and fill out the application. Upload a passport-style photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (around $30–$50 USD depending on visa type) with a credit card. Processing usually takes 3–5 business days, but can be faster.
2
Receive and print eVisa
Once approved, you'll get an email with a PDF attachment. Print a copy and also save it on your phone. You'll need to show it at check-in for your flight and again on arrival in Zimbabwe.
3
Arrive at Zimbabwe airport
At Harare International Airport or Victoria Falls Airport, head to the immigration queue. Hand over your passport, printed eVisa, and return ticket. The officer will stamp you in. The whole process usually takes 10–20 minutes if you have all documents ready.
4
Collect luggage and exit
After immigration, collect your bags from the carousel. You may be asked to show your accommodation booking at customs. Then walk through the green channel if you have nothing to declare.

Frequently asked questions

Usually 3–5 business days, but can be as fast as 24 hours. Apply at least a week before your trip to be safe. The fee is around $30–$50 USD depending on the visa type (single entry or multiple entry).
No, Lebanese passport holders cannot get a visa on arrival. You must have an approved eVisa before you travel. Without it, you'll be denied boarding by the airline.
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your entry date. If it's less, renew your passport before applying for the eVisa. The eVisa application will ask for the expiry date and may reject it if it's too close.
If you're arriving from a country with yellow fever risk (including parts of Africa and South America), you'll need a yellow fever vaccination certificate. Lebanon is not a yellow fever country, so if you're flying directly from Lebanon, you don't need it. But if you've recently traveled to a risk area, carry the certificate.
No, the eVisa is not extendable. If you need to stay longer, you'd have to leave and reapply. Plan your trip within the eVisa's validity period (usually 30 days for single entry).
Rejections are rare but can happen if documents are incomplete or passport validity is insufficient. You'll get an email explaining the reason. You can reapply with corrected information. The fee is non-refundable, so double-check everything before submitting.
It's not officially required, but it's a good idea to have a bank statement or credit card showing you can cover your stay. Immigration officers rarely ask, but if they do, having it ready avoids delays.
