RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must cover your full stay
At least 6 months validity beyond your entry date. Minimum 1 blank page for the entry stamp. Airlines may deny boarding if validity is too close.Required

Officers check this regularly
A confirmed flight out of the country. Immigration may ask to see this — have a screenshot ready on your phone. An onward ticket from a neighbouring country also works.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel name or address
A hotel booking confirmation, or the address of where you are staying. The arrival form often asks for this. A Booking.com or Airbnb confirmation email is fine.Recommended
Proof of funds
Rarely checked
Immigration officers may ask you to demonstrate sufficient funds for your stay. A credit card or bank statement usually suffices.Recommended
Apply early — processing takes time
The eVisa processing time is 5–10 working days. Do not book non-refundable flights or accommodation until your visa is approved.
Keep digital copies of everything
Save your visa, passport, tickets, and accommodation confirmations on your phone and in cloud storage. If you lose your documents, you'll have backups.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for your eVisa online
Go to the official Ukraine eVisa portal (evisa.gov.ua/en). Fill in the application form, upload a digital passport photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee and submit. Processing takes 5–10 working days.
2
Receive and print your visa
Once approved, you'll get an email with your eVisa. Print a copy and also save it on your phone. You'll need to show it at the border.
3
Prepare your documents for travel
Gather your passport, printed visa, return ticket, accommodation booking, and travel insurance. Keep them in an easily accessible folder.
4
Arrive at a Ukrainian port of entry
At the airport (most likely Boryspil in Kyiv or Lviv Danylo Halytskyi), join the 'Foreign Passports' queue. Hand over your passport and visa. The officer may ask for your return ticket and accommodation. Answer clearly. You'll get an entry stamp.
