Visa on arrival
Visa on arrival at Beirut–Rafic Hariri International Airport
Lithuanian passport holders get a visa on arrival at Beirut airport. The visa costs $50 USD (cash only, exact change preferred) and is valid for 1 month, extendable once at the General Security office in Beirut. Have a printed return ticket and hotel booking ready — the officer will ask for both before stamping.Check visa detailsRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your stay
Your passport needs at least 6 months of remaining validity from your date of entry. Airlines at Vilnius Airport will check this before boarding — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Required for visa-on-arrival entry
Immigration at Beirut airport strictly enforces the return ticket rule. Have a printed or digital copy of your onward flight — if you arrive without one, you may be refused entry or forced to buy a ticket at the airline counter.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation letter
Bring a printed hotel confirmation for your entire stay, or a notarized invitation letter from a Lebanese host. Immigration officers routinely ask for this at the visa-on-arrival counter.Recommended
Proof of funds
Cash or bank statement showing sufficient funds
Carry at least $1,000 USD in cash or a bank statement showing you can cover your stay. Lebanon's economy runs on cash — credit cards are not widely accepted outside major hotels.Recommended
Cash only for visa fee
The visa on arrival fee must be paid in cash (USD preferred). There are ATMs in the airport, but they may not dispense USD. Bring $50–$100 in crisp US bills.
Travel insurance strongly recommended
Lebanon's healthcare system is strained. A simple hospital visit can cost hundreds of dollars per day. Travel insurance covering medical evacuation is a smart investment.

What happens at the border

3
Proceed to immigration
