Lithuanian passport holders need an eVisa to enter Russia in 2026. The eVisa is valid for a single entry and allows stays of up to 16 days. You must apply online before you travel.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Russia eVisa
Apply for a Russia eVisa at the official portal before travel. The eVisa allows a single entry for up to 16 days. Processing takes up to 4 calendar days — apply at least a week before your trip. Print the eVisa approval and carry it with your passport.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for entire stay
Your Lithuanian passport must be valid for the entire duration of your stay in Russia. No minimum validity beyond departure is required by Russian law, but airlines may enforce 6 months — check with your carrier.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure
Immigration officers routinely ask for a confirmed return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy ready. If you overstay, you face a fine of up to 5,000 RUB and possible deportation.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation
You need a confirmed hotel booking or a formal invitation from a host (registered with the MVD). Immigration may ask for the address and contact details of where you're staying. Keep a printed copy handy.Recommended
Proof of funds
Financial means
Carry evidence of sufficient funds for your stay — at least 500 RUB per day is the informal guideline. A recent bank statement or credit card showing available balance works. Officers rarely check this, but it's safer to have it.Recommended
Passport validity counts from entry date
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you land in Russia, not from your departure date. If it expires sooner, renew before applying for the eVisa.
eVisa is single entry only
The eVisa allows one entry. If you leave Russia (even for a day trip), you cannot re-enter on the same eVisa. You'd need to apply for a new one.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online

2
Receive your eVisa approval
You'll get an email with your eVisa approval. No need to print — save the PDF on your phone. The eVisa is linked to your passport number.
3
Book your travel and accommodation
Book a return flight and your first night's accommodation. Keep confirmations easily accessible — immigration may ask to see them.
4
Arrive at the airport in Russia
At passport control, present your passport and the eVisa approval (digital or printed). The officer will scan your passport and stamp you in. You're allowed to stay up to 16 days from the date of entry.
