Arrive at UK border control
At any UK airport or port, join the 'All Other Passports' queue (not the eGates, which are for EU/Swiss/Norwegian/Icelandic citizens only). Have your passport, return ticket, and accommodation confirmation ready.

Present your passport and answer questions
The Border Force officer will ask the purpose of your visit, how long you're staying, and where you're staying. Answer clearly and honestly. They may ask to see your return ticket or hotel booking.

Get your entry stamp
If approved, the officer stamps your passport with the date of entry and the date you must leave (usually 180 days later). Check the stamp before walking away.

Collect luggage and exit
After the stamp, proceed to baggage claim, then through customs (green channel if nothing to declare). You're now legally in the UK.
