Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply before travel
Apply for a Togo eVisa at evisa.gouv.tg at least 5 business days before departure. The eVisa is valid for 15 days single entry and costs around 10,000 CFA francs ($17 USD). Print the approval letter and carry it with your passport — immigration at Lomé Airport will stamp you in.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for entire stay
Your passport must be valid for the full duration of your stay in Togo. No minimum validity beyond departure is required by Togolese law, but airlines may enforce 6 months — check with your carrier before flying.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure
Immigration at Lomé Airport routinely asks for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy ready — they check this before issuing the entry stamp.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a printed hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your host in Togo. Immigration may ask for it if you look uncertain about where you're staying.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Have a bank statement or cash equivalent to at least 100,000 CFA francs ($170 USD) for a short stay. Officers rarely ask, but it's a legal requirement under Togolese immigration rules.Recommended
Yellow fever vaccination is mandatory
Togo requires all travellers to show proof of yellow fever vaccination. Without it, you may be denied entry or forced to get vaccinated at the airport (and pay a fee). Get the shot at least 10 days before travel.
Keep your eVisa accessible
Print two copies of your approved eVisa — one for your bag, one for your carry-on. Also save the PDF on your phone. Airlines check it before you board.
