Valid passport
Must cover your stay
Your passport needs at least 6 months of validity beyond your intended departure date from Kyrgyzstan. Airlines check this at check-in — if it's close, renew before booking.Required

Immigration may ask
Kyrgyzstan immigration officers routinely ask for proof of onward travel. Have a printed or digital copy of your return flight or a ticket to your next destination ready.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation
Carry a printed hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your host in Kyrgyzstan. Immigration rarely asks, but having it avoids delays if they do.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Have a bank statement or credit card showing at least $50 USD per day of your stay. Immigration doesn't always check, but it's a standard requirement on paper.Recommended
eVisa is not extendable
You cannot extend your stay beyond the eVisa's validity. Plan your departure accordingly to avoid fines or future entry issues.
Keep digital copies handy
Save your eVisa PDF, flight booking, and accommodation confirmation on your phone. Manas Airport has free Wi-Fi, but it's better to have everything offline.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to evisa.e-gov.kg, fill in your personal and passport details, upload a passport-style photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (around $50–$70 depending on processing speed) and submit.
2
Wait for approval
Standard processing takes 3–5 business days. You'll receive the eVisa by email. Print a copy and also save the PDF on your phone.
3
Arrive at Manas International Airport (Bishkek)
At passport control, hand over your passport and the printed eVisa. The officer may ask for your return ticket and accommodation confirmation. Have them ready on your phone or printed.
4
Receive entry stamp
Once cleared, you'll get an entry stamp in your passport. The eVisa is usually valid for up to 60 days from the date of issue, but the allowed stay is typically 30 days. Check your stamp for the exact dates.
