Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Visa application
Visa required
Apply for a visa at the Namibian embassy or consulate before travel. The Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration handles visa processing — check their website for the application form and required documents. Processing takes 5–10 working days, so apply well in advance.Apply for visaRequired
Valid passport
Required
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry into Namibia. Airlines check this before boarding — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Required
Immigration officers at Windhoek Hosea Kutako International Airport routinely ask for proof of onward travel. Have a printed or digital copy of your return flight or onward ticket ready.Required
Proof of accommodation
Recommended
Hotel bookings or a letter of invitation from your host in Namibia can speed up the immigration process. Officers may ask where you are staying — have the address and contact number ready.Recommended
Proof of funds
Recommended
Carry at least 1,000 NAD (or equivalent in USD/EUR) per day of your stay. Immigration rarely asks, but having a bank statement or cash on hand avoids any issues.Recommended
Apply early — no exceptions at the border
Namibia strictly enforces the visa requirement for Moroccan passport holders. There is no visa on arrival, no waiver, and no way to apply at the airport. If you show up without an approved eVisa, you will be sent back. Apply at least 2 weeks before your trip.
Keep a printed copy of your eVisa
Immigration officers at Windhoek airport prefer a paper copy. Digital versions on your phone are accepted but can be slow if the network is weak. Print two copies — one for your bag, one for your pocket.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for your eVisa online
Go to the official Namibian eVisa website (evisa.gov.na). Fill in the application form, upload a digital passport photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (around NAD 1,200 / USD 65) by credit card. Processing usually takes 5–10 business days.
2
Receive and print your visa approval
Once approved, you'll get a PDF by email. Print a paper copy and also save it on your phone. You'll need to show it at check-in and upon arrival in Namibia.
3
Prepare your documents for travel
Before you leave, gather: passport (6+ months validity), printed eVisa, return/onward ticket, first-night accommodation confirmation, and travel insurance. Keep them in your carry-on.
4
Arrive at Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH)
Most flights from Morocco connect via Addis Ababa, Doha, or Johannesburg. At Windhoek immigration, join the 'Foreign Passports' queue. Hand over your passport, printed eVisa, and return ticket. The officer will stamp you in — typically for up to 90 days.
