Moroccan passport holders need an eVisa to enter Qatar. The process is entirely online and straightforward — apply before you travel, and you'll get a single-entry visa valid for up to 30 days. This has been the rule since 2024.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply before departure
Apply for a Qatar eVisa through the Hukoomi portal. Processing takes 3–5 business days. Print the approval email and carry it with your passport.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for at least 6 months
Your passport must have at least 6 months of validity beyond your intended departure from Qatar. Airlines check this at check-in and will deny boarding if it's shorter.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of onward travel
Immigration at Hamad International Airport routinely asks for a confirmed return or onward ticket. Have a printed copy or a digital version on your phone ready.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a printed hotel confirmation or an invitation letter from your Qatari host. Immigration may ask for it if you look uncertain about where you're staying.Recommended
Proof of funds
Bank statement or credit card
Have a recent bank statement or a credit card showing available credit. Immigration rarely asks, but it's a standard requirement for the visa type.Recommended
eVisa is mandatory — no visa on arrival
Moroccan passport holders cannot get a visa on arrival in Qatar. You must apply and receive the eVisa before you fly. Start the process at least a week before your trip.
Passport validity counts from entry date
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you land in Qatar, not from when you leave. If it's close to expiring, renew it before applying for the eVisa.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the Hukoomi portal (the official Qatari government e-services site). Fill in your personal details, passport info, and travel dates. Upload a scanned copy of your passport bio page and a passport-style photo. Pay the fee (around 100 QAR) with a credit or debit card. You'll receive the eVisa by email within a few days — print it and keep a digital copy on your phone.
2
Prepare your documents for departure
Before heading to the airport, double-check: passport valid for 6+ months, printed eVisa, return ticket, hotel booking confirmation, and travel insurance. Save screenshots of everything on your phone in case you need to show them at check-in or immigration.
3
Arrive at Hamad International Airport (DOH)
After landing, follow signs to 'Arrivals' and join the queue for 'Foreign Passports'. Have your passport, eVisa printout, and return ticket ready. The immigration officer will scan your passport and stamp it — no additional forms needed. The whole process usually takes 10–15 minutes if you have all documents ready.
4
Exit and collect luggage
Once stamped, proceed to baggage claim. After collecting your bags, walk through the green 'Nothing to Declare' channel unless you have goods to declare. Then you're free to exit into the arrivals hall.
