Moroccan passport holders need an eVisa to enter Uganda. Apply online before you travel — there's no visa on arrival for Moroccan citizens. As of 2026, the process is straightforward if you have your documents ready.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Uganda eVisa
Apply for your Uganda eVisa at the official portal before you fly. The eVisa is valid for 90 days from issue and allows a single entry for up to 90 days. Processing takes 2–3 business days, so apply at least a week before departure.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must have at least 6 months validity
Your Moroccan passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended departure date from Uganda. Airlines at Casablanca and Marrakech check this strictly — they will deny boarding if your passport expires sooner.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of onward travel
Immigration at Entebbe Airport asks for a return or onward ticket before they stamp you in. Have a printed or digital copy of your flight booking ready — they check this at the counter.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Have a hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your host in Uganda. Immigration officers sometimes ask for this, especially if you arrive without a clear itinerary.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Carry evidence of sufficient funds — at least $200 USD in cash or a bank statement showing recent transactions. Immigration may ask to see this if you look like you're traveling on a tight budget.Recommended
Yellow fever vaccine required
Uganda requires proof of yellow fever vaccination for all travellers. Get the vaccine at least 10 days before your trip and carry your yellow card. Without it, you may be denied entry or forced to get the vaccine at the airport (if available).
eVisa processing time
Apply at least 7 days before your flight. Processing can take up to 5 business days, and weekends don't count. Don't book non-refundable flights until you have the visa in hand.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to visas.immigration.go.ug, create an account, fill in your details, upload your passport scan and photo, and pay the fee. Processing takes 2–5 business days. Print the approval email.
2
Arrive at Entebbe or another entry point
At immigration, present your passport, printed eVisa approval, and return ticket. They'll stamp you in. The whole process usually takes 10–15 minutes if you have everything ready.
3
Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, grab your bags from the carousel, then head to customs. If you have nothing to declare, walk through the green channel.
