Moroccan passport holders need an eVisa to enter Zimbabwe. It's valid for tourism or business visits and must be obtained online before travel. As of 2026, the process is straightforward, but you'll need to plan ahead for processing time.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply before travel
Apply for a Zimbabwe eVisa at the official portal before departure. The eVisa is valid for single or multiple entry depending on the type selected. Processing usually takes 3–5 business days, so apply at least a week ahead.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
6 months validity required
Your Moroccan passport must have at least 6 months of remaining validity beyond your intended departure date from Zimbabwe. Airlines check this strictly at check-in — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Required for entry
Immigration officers at Harare and Victoria Falls airports routinely ask for proof of onward travel. Have a printed or digital copy of your return flight or a ticket to your next destination ready.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation letter
Carry a hotel reservation confirmation or a letter of invitation from your host in Zimbabwe. Officers may ask for it during the visa-on-arrival process or at the immigration counter.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show sufficient cash or card
Have at least $500 USD in cash or a credit card with available limit to cover your stay. Immigration may ask for proof of financial means, especially if you lack a return ticket.Recommended
Apply early — processing can be slow
eVisa processing times vary. Some applications are approved in 3 days, others take 2 weeks. Don't wait until the last minute. Apply at least 2 weeks before your flight.
Keep digital and printed copies
Save your eVisa PDF on your phone and print a paper copy. Airlines check it at check-in, and immigration will ask to see it on arrival. Having both covers you if your phone dies.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for eVisa online
Go to www.evisa.gov.zw. Fill out the application form with your passport details, travel dates, and accommodation. Upload a passport-style photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (around $30-$50 USD depending on visa type) by credit card. Processing takes 3-7 business days, sometimes longer. Apply at least 2 weeks before your trip.
2
Receive and print eVisa
Once approved, you'll get an email with a PDF. Print a copy and save it on your phone. You'll need to show it at check-in and on arrival.
3
Arrive at Zimbabwe airport
At Harare (HRE) or Victoria Falls (VFA) airport, head to the immigration desk. Present your passport, printed eVisa, and return ticket. The officer will stamp your passport. No queue for visa on arrival — you already have the eVisa.
4
Collect luggage and exit
After immigration, collect your bags from the carousel. There's a customs declaration for goods over $200. If you have nothing to declare, walk through the green channel.
