Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Visa application
Visa required
You need a visa before traveling to Belarus. Apply at the nearest Belarusian embassy or consulate — there is no visa on arrival for Myanmar passport holders. Processing takes 5–15 working days depending on the embassy.Check visa requirementsRequired
Valid passport
Original passport
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended departure date from Belarus. Carry a photocopy of the bio-data page separately in case of loss.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of onward travel
Immigration at Minsk National Airport may ask for a confirmed return or onward ticket. Have a printed copy or a screenshot ready on your phone.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation
Have a hotel confirmation or a notarized invitation letter from a Belarusian host. Border officers occasionally ask for this at passport control.Recommended
Proof of funds
Financial means
Carry bank statements or a credit card showing you can cover your stay. The official minimum is roughly 50 BYN (~$15 USD) per day, but having more is safer.Recommended
Passport validity counts from entry date
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you enter Belarus, not from your departure date. If it expires sooner, renew it before applying for the e-visa.
eSIM saves time at the airport
An Airalo eSIM activates as soon as you land, so you have data immediately. No need to queue for a local SIM at the airport.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for an e-visa
Go to e-visa.by/en/ and fill out the online application. Upload a recent passport-style photo and a clear scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (around 60–80 EUR depending on processing speed). Wait 3–5 business days for approval. You'll receive the visa by email — print it out or save a copy on your phone.
2
Prepare your documents
Before you leave, gather: your passport (6+ months validity), printed e-visa, return ticket, accommodation booking, and travel insurance. Keep them in a folder you can access quickly.
3
Arrive at Minsk National Airport
When you land, follow signs to 'Passport Control'. Join the queue for foreign passports. Hand over your passport and e-visa. The officer may ask about your trip, accommodation, and return plans. Answer calmly. They'll stamp your passport and you're in.
4
Collect luggage and exit
After passport control, head to baggage claim. If you have an eSIM, your phone will already have data. Exit through customs — green channel if you have nothing to declare.
