Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply before travel
You need an Oman eVisa before you fly. Apply on the Royal Oman Police eVisa portal at evisa.rop.gov.om — processing usually takes 1–3 business days. Print the approval email and carry it with your passport.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must cover entire stay
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry into Oman. Airlines check this at check-in — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure
Immigration officers routinely ask for a confirmed onward or return flight. Have a printed or digital copy of your ticket ready — they will check the date matches your eVisa validity.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a printed hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your Omani host. Immigration may ask for it, especially if you arrive without a clear itinerary.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Have bank statements or a credit card ready to show you have enough money for your stay. Officers rarely ask, but it can speed things up if you look under-prepared.Recommended
eVisa is the only option
Myanmar passport holders cannot get a visa on arrival in Oman. You must apply for and receive the eVisa before you travel. No exceptions.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for eVisa online
Go to the Royal Oman Police eVisa website (evisa.rop.gov.om). Fill in your personal and passport details, upload a passport-style photo and a copy of your passport data page. Pay the fee with a credit or debit card. Processing usually takes 1–3 business days.
2
Receive and print eVisa
Once approved, you'll get the eVisa by email. Print a paper copy and also save the PDF on your phone. You'll need to show it at check-in and on arrival in Oman.
3
Arrive at Muscat or other Omani airport
At immigration, present your passport, printed eVisa, and return ticket. The officer will stamp your passport. The process is usually quick — 5–10 minutes if you have all documents ready.
