The visa on arrival is valid for 30 days from the date of issue. It's a single-entry visa — if you leave Rwanda, you'll need a new visa to re-enter.
No, the visa on arrival is not extendable. If you need to stay longer than 30 days, you must apply for a different visa type (e.g., a visitor's pass) before your current visa expires. Visit the Rwanda Directorate General of Immigration and Emigration in Kigali for options.
The visa counter at Kigali Airport can take your photo for a small fee (around $1–2 USD). But it's faster and easier to bring your own.
