Myanmar passport holders need an eVisa to enter Togo. The entire process is online: apply before you travel, receive approval by email, and present the printed confirmation at Lomé–Gnassingbé Eyadéma International Airport. As of 2026, there is no visa-on-arrival option for Myanmar nationals.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply online before travel
Apply for your Togo eVisa at the official government portal at least 5 business days before departure. The eVisa is valid for single entry and allows stays up to 30 days. Print the approval letter and carry it with your passport — immigration at Lomé Airport will stamp you in.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for entire stay
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended departure date from Togo. Togo strictly enforces this — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding in Yangon or turned back at Lomé.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Togo
Immigration at Lomé Airport routinely asks for a return or onward ticket before granting entry. Airlines also check this at check-in. Have a printed or digital copy of your outbound flight booking ready.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a printed hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your host in Togo. Immigration officers occasionally ask for it, especially if you arrive without a clear itinerary.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Have cash (Euros or CFA francs) or a bank statement showing at least 300,000 CFA (~$500 USD) available. Immigration rarely asks, but if they do, you need to demonstrate you won't overstay or work illegally.Recommended
Yellow fever vaccination is mandatory
Togo requires proof of yellow fever vaccination for all travellers over 1 year old. Without the yellow card, you may be denied entry or forced to get vaccinated on arrival (and possibly fined). Get the shot at least 10 days before travel.
Print everything — digital copies may not be accepted
Immigration officers at Lomé Airport expect physical documents. Print your eVisa confirmation, return ticket, and hotel booking. A screenshot on your phone is not a reliable backup.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to evisa.gouv.tg, fill in your personal and passport details, upload a passport-style photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (30,000 XOF, about $50 USD) by credit card. Processing takes 3–5 business days. You will receive the approval by email.
2
Print your eVisa confirmation
Once approved, print the confirmation email. Keep it with your passport. You will need to show it at check-in and again at immigration in Lomé.
3
Arrive at Lomé Airport
After landing at Lomé–Gnassingbé Eyadéma International Airport, follow signs to 'Immigration' or 'Passport Control'. Join the queue for foreign nationals. Have your passport, printed eVisa, return ticket, and accommodation confirmation ready.
4
Present documents and receive entry stamp
Hand over your passport and eVisa printout. The officer may ask a few questions (purpose of visit, where you are staying). They will stamp your passport and return it. You are then free to collect your luggage and exit.
