Valid passport
Must be valid for the entire stay
Your Mongolian passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended departure date from DR Congo. Airlines check this at check-in — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure
Immigration officers at Kinshasa and Lubumbashi airports routinely ask for a confirmed onward or return ticket. Have a printed copy or a clear digital version on your phone ready to show.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a printed hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your host in DR Congo. Officers sometimes ask for this during the visa-on-arrival process or at the border.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Have bank statements or a credit card showing access to at least $500 USD. Immigration may ask how you plan to fund your stay, especially if you arrive without a pre-booked tour or business sponsor.Recommended
Yellow fever certificate is mandatory
You will be asked for proof of yellow fever vaccination at immigration. Without it, you may be denied entry or forced to get a vaccination at the airport (which costs money and time).
eVisa must be approved before you fly
Do not book a flight until your eVisa is approved. There is no visa on arrival for Mongolian passport holders. Apply early and wait for confirmation.

What happens at the border

2
Receive and save your eVisa
Once approved, you'll get a PDF by email. Print a copy and also save it to your phone. You'll show it at immigration in Kinshasa.
3
Prepare your documents for arrival
At N'Djili International Airport (FIH), you'll go through immigration. Have your passport, printed eVisa, return ticket, and accommodation confirmation ready. The officer may ask a few questions about your trip.
