Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Visa application
eVisa required
Apply for a Côte d'Ivoire eVisa through the SNEDAI portal before you fly. The online form takes about 15 minutes — upload a passport photo and your passport data page. Processing usually takes 2–3 business days; print the approval letter and carry it with your passport.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must cover entire stay
Your passport needs at least one blank page for the entry stamp. Côte d'Ivoire does not enforce a strict 6-month validity rule, but your passport must be valid for the full duration of your stay.Required
Return or onward ticket
Required for entry
Immigration officers at Abidjan airport routinely ask for proof of onward travel. Have a printed or digital copy of your return flight or a ticket to your next destination ready.Required
Proof of accommodation
Recommended
Hotel bookings or an invitation letter from your host can speed up the immigration process. Officers may ask where you are staying, so have a reservation confirmation or host address handy.Recommended
Proof of funds
Recommended
Carry evidence of sufficient funds — a bank statement or credit card showing access to at least 500 USD equivalent. Immigration rarely asks, but having it avoids delays if they do.Recommended
Apply early — no visa on arrival
There is no visa-on-arrival for Mongolian passport holders. You must have an approved e-visa before you fly. Apply at least a week in advance.
Yellow fever certificate is mandatory
You will be asked for your yellow fever vaccination certificate at immigration. Without it, you may be denied entry or forced to get vaccinated on the spot at your own expense.
