Cash only at land borders
If you're entering Rwanda by land (from Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi, or DRC), bring USD 50 in crisp cash. No credit cards, no Rwandan francs accepted for the visa fee.
Yellow fever vaccine recommended

Arrive at Kigali International Airport
After landing, follow signs to 'Visa on Arrival' or 'Immigration'. There's a dedicated counter. Queue up, fill out a short arrival card (handed out on the plane or at the counter), and present your passport, return ticket, and accommodation booking.

Pay the visa fee
Hand over USD 50 cash (or pay by card). The officer will process your visa — takes about 5–10 minutes. You'll get a sticker in your passport.

Proceed to passport control
Show your passport with the fresh visa sticker to the immigration officer. They'll stamp you in. Collect your bags and exit.
