Mexican passport holders can enter Belarus without a visa for stays up to 30 days. This visa-free policy started in 2025 and covers tourism, business, and private visits. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your entry date.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of stay
Your passport needs to be valid for at least the entire 30-day stay. Belarus does not enforce the 6-month validity rule, but your airline might — check with them before departure.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Belarus
Immigration officers at Minsk National Airport routinely ask for a confirmed return or onward ticket. Have a printed copy or a digital version on your phone ready.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation letter
Border officials may request proof of where you're staying. A hotel confirmation or a notarized invitation from a Belarusian host works. Keep a copy handy.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
You might be asked to prove you have enough money for your stay. A bank statement or credit card showing access to around $50 USD per day is usually sufficient.Recommended
30-day limit is strict
Overstaying even by one day can result in a fine of up to 50 Belarusian rubles (about $15 USD) and a possible ban from re-entering for up to 5 years. Set a reminder to leave on time.
Entry via Russia is tricky
If you plan to enter Belarus by land from Russia, note that there are no passport controls on that border. You won't get an entry stamp, which can cause problems when you try to leave. Always enter Belarus via an official checkpoint with a stamp.

What happens at the border

1
Arrival at Minsk National Airport (MSQ)
After landing, follow signs to 'Passport Control'. Join the queue for non-Belarusian passports. Have your passport and boarding pass ready. The officer will check your passport validity, ask about your stay (purpose, duration, where you're staying), and may ask to see your return ticket and accommodation booking. They'll stamp your passport with a 30-day entry stamp. The whole process usually takes 5-15 minutes.
2
Land border crossings
If entering by land from Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, or Russia, you'll go through a border checkpoint. The process is similar: present your passport, answer a few questions, and get stamped. Expect longer queues at busy crossings like Brest or Grodno. Have your documents ready before you reach the booth.
