Belize entry requirements for Mexico passport holders
Mexican passport holders can enter Belize without a visa for stays up to 30 days, a policy in effect since 2024. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date, and you need a return or onward ticket.
Entry requirements
| Requirement | Details | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Valid passport Must be valid for the duration of your stay | Your Mexican passport needs to be valid for the entire time you plan to be in Belize. Airlines check this before boarding, and immigration officers at Belize City (BZE) will turn you away if your passport expires before you leave. | Required |
| Return or onward ticket Proof of departure from Belize | Immigration at Belize's land borders and the airport routinely asks for a printed or digital onward ticket. If you're flying out, have your boarding pass or e-ticket ready — they check this before stamping you in. Overland, bus companies sometimes ask to see it before letting you board. | Recommended |
| Proof of accommodation Hotel booking or invitation letter | Have your first night's hotel confirmation or a letter from a host ready. Belize immigration officers occasionally ask for it, especially if you arrive without a clear itinerary. A printed booking or a screenshot on your phone works fine. | Recommended |
| Proof of funds Show you can support yourself | Carry a bank statement or credit card showing you have enough money for your stay. Immigration rarely asks for it, but if you're staying the full 30 days or arriving overland, they might want to see you're not planning to work illegally. A few hundred USD in cash or a card with a decent limit is fine. | Recommended |

Transiting through Belize
Mexican passport holders transiting through Belize (e.g., at Philip S. W. Goldson International Airport) do not need a transit visa if staying airside and not passing through immigration.
- If leaving the airport or staying overnight, a visa-free entry (up to 30 days) applies instead.
