Yellow fever vaccine required
You must have a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate (yellow card) to enter DR Congo. Immigration checks this at the airport. Get the vaccine at least 10 days before travel.

Mobile data is cheap in DR Congo. An Airalo eSIM activates as soon as you land — no need to queue at a shop. Useful for maps, rideshares, and WhatsApp.

Apply for the eVisa
Go to visa.gouv.cd, fill out the form, upload your passport scan and photo, pay the fee (around $50–$100 depending on processing time), and wait for approval. Processing usually takes 3–7 business days.

Prepare your documents
Print or save your eVisa approval, passport, return ticket, and accommodation confirmation. Keep them together in a folder or on your phone for quick access.

Arrive at N'djili Airport (FIH)
At Kinshasa's main airport, go to the immigration desk. Present your passport, eVisa, and return ticket. The officer may ask about your accommodation and purpose of visit. Answer clearly and politely.

Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, proceed to baggage claim, then customs. There's usually a quick bag check. Exit into the arrivals hall where drivers and hotel reps wait.
