Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your departure date from Fiji
Your passport must have at least one blank page for the entry stamp. Immigration officers at Nadi Airport check the 6-month validity rule strictly — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Fiji
You need a confirmed onward or return ticket to any destination outside Fiji. Airlines at departure check this before issuing a boarding pass — immigration at Nadi also asks for it on arrival.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Immigration officers may ask for your accommodation details during arrival processing. Have a printed or digital hotel confirmation, resort booking, or a letter from your host ready.Recommended
Proof of funds
Sufficient money for your stay
You should carry at least FJD 500 (approx. USD 220) in cash or have a credit/debit card with available balance. Immigration rarely asks, but budget airlines sometimes check at check-in.Recommended
Passport validity counts from arrival
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you land in Fiji, not from your departure date. Check your passport now.
No visa extensions available
The 120-day visa-free period cannot be extended. Plan your departure accordingly to avoid overstaying.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at Nadi or Suva airport
Most flights land at Nadi International Airport (NAN). You'll join the queue for foreign passport holders. Have your passport, return ticket, and accommodation details ready.
2
Present documents to immigration officer
Hand over your passport and any requested documents. The officer will check your passport validity, blank page, and may ask for your return ticket. Answer questions clearly.
3
Receive entry stamp
If everything is in order, you'll get a stamp allowing up to 120 days. Check the stamp says the correct date before leaving the counter.
4
Collect luggage and exit
After immigration, pick up your bags from the carousel and proceed through customs. No arrival declaration form is needed.
