Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply before travel
Apply for a Pakistan eVisa at visa.nadra.gov.pk at least 7 days before your flight. The application asks for a scanned passport photo, passport data page, and a travel itinerary. Processing takes 3–5 working days for most nationalities.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for entire stay
Your Mexican passport must be valid for the full duration of your stay in Pakistan. Airlines check this at check-in — if your passport expires before you leave, you will be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Required for entry
Immigration at Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad airports always asks for a confirmed onward ticket. A printed copy or a screenshot of your booking works — just have it ready before you reach the counter.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation letter
Have a hotel reservation or a letter from your host in Pakistan ready. Immigration officers occasionally ask for this, especially if you are arriving without a clear itinerary.Recommended
Proof of funds
Cash or bank statement
Carry at least $200 USD in cash or a bank statement showing sufficient funds. Officers rarely check this for short visits, but having it avoids delays if asked.Recommended
Passport validity is strict
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you enter Pakistan. If it's even one day short, your eVisa will be denied. Renew your passport before applying.
eVisa is the only option
There is no visa on arrival for Mexican passport holders. Do not book flights until you have your eVisa approval in hand.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to visa.nadra.gov.pk, create an account, fill in the application form, upload your passport scan and photo, and pay the fee. Processing usually takes 3–5 business days, but can be faster.

Check your email and the portal for the decision. Once approved, download the PDF and save it on your phone and print a copy. You'll need to show it at check-in and on arrival.
3
Arrive at a Pakistani airport
At immigration, present your passport, printed eVisa, return ticket, and accommodation confirmation. The officer may ask a few questions about your itinerary. Keep calm and answer honestly.
4
