Your passport must be valid for at least the length of your intended stay in Uganda. Airlines check this at check-in. Carry a photocopy of the bio-data page separately.Required

Immigration officers at Entebbe ask for a confirmed onward ticket. Have a printed copy or a screenshot ready on your phone. Airlines also enforce this before boarding.Recommended

No visa, no fee, no forms
Malaysians get 180 days visa-free at no cost. No eVisa, no application, no payment. Just show up with your passport and onward ticket.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport
Most visitors fly into Entebbe, about 40 km south of Kampala. Follow signs to 'Arrivals' and join the queue for 'Foreign Passports'.
2
Present your documents at immigration
Hand over your passport (valid 6+ months) and your return/onward ticket. The officer will ask your purpose of visit and how long you're staying. Answer clearly — tourism, business, or visiting friends.
3
Get your entry stamp
The officer stamps your passport with a 180-day visa-free entry. No fee, no forms. You're free to go — collect your luggage and exit through customs.
