Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply for Kyrgyzstan eVisa
Apply online at the official Kyrgyzstan eVisa portal before you travel. Processing takes 3–5 business days, and you receive a PDF by email. Print two copies — one for the airline check-in counter and one for immigration at Manas International Airport.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended departure date from Kyrgyzstan
Your Mozambique passport needs at least two blank pages for entry and exit stamps. Immigration officers at Bishkek airport check the 6-month validity rule strictly — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Kyrgyzstan
Airlines and immigration ask for a confirmed onward or return ticket before they let you board. A printed itinerary or an e-ticket showing your flight out of Kyrgyzstan works fine.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation letter
Have a printed hotel reservation or a notarized invitation letter from your host in Kyrgyzstan. Immigration may ask for it at the border, especially if you arrive without a clear itinerary.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself during your stay
Carry bank statements or a credit card showing access to at least $50 USD per day of your trip. Immigration rarely checks this for short visits, but having it ready avoids delays.Recommended
eVisa only — no visa on arrival
Mozambican passport holders cannot get a visa on arrival in Kyrgyzstan. You must apply and receive approval before you travel.
Keep your eVisa accessible
Print a paper copy and save a screenshot on your phone. You'll need it at check-in and at immigration. A dead phone battery could cause problems.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the official Kyrgyz eVisa portal (evisa.e-gov.kg). Fill in your personal and passport details, upload a passport-style photo, and pay the fee. Processing takes 3–5 business days. You'll receive the approved visa by email.
2
Print or save your eVisa
Once approved, print a paper copy of the eVisa and also save a screenshot on your phone. You'll need to show it at check-in and on arrival.
3
Arrive at Manas International Airport (Bishkek) or Osh Airport
Most flights from Mozambique arrive via Istanbul or Dubai. At immigration, present your passport, eVisa, and return ticket. The officer will stamp you in. Keep your boarding pass handy — they may ask for it.
4
Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, pick up your bags from the carousel and proceed through customs. There's usually no baggage check unless you're carrying something unusual.
