Mozambican passport holders need an eVisa to travel to Kazakhstan. It's a single-entry permit valid for up to 30 days. Apply online before you travel — it usually takes a few days to process.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply before travel
Apply for a Kazakhstan eVisa at evisa.e-gov.kz/en/. The application takes about 15 minutes — upload a passport photo and a scan of your passport data page. Processing takes 3–5 business days, and the eVisa is sent by email as a PDF.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for intended stay
Your Mozambique passport needs at least one blank page for the entry stamp. Kazakhstan does not require 6 months validity beyond your stay — just cover your travel dates. Airlines may still ask for 6 months, so check with your carrier.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure
Immigration officers at Almaty and Nur-Sultan airports routinely ask for a confirmed onward or return ticket. Have a printed copy or a screenshot ready on your phone. A booking within 30 days of arrival is safest.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation letter
Carry a printed hotel confirmation or a letter from your host in Kazakhstan. Officers rarely ask, but if they do, you need a local address and contact number. Airbnb bookings are accepted.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Have a bank statement or cash equivalent to at least $50 USD per day of your stay. Border officers almost never check this for eVisa holders, but it's a legal requirement. A credit card statement works too.Recommended
eVisa is single-entry only
The eVisa allows one entry into Kazakhstan. If you leave (even to a neighboring country), you'll need a new eVisa to re-enter.
Apply early — avoid last-minute stress
Processing can take up to 5 business days. Apply at least 10 days before your trip to account for any delays or document issues.

2
Prepare your documents
Print or save digital copies of your eVisa approval, passport, return ticket, and accommodation confirmation. Keep them together in a folder or on your phone.
3
