Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a printed hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your host in Ethiopia. Immigration may ask for your address on arrival, and having proof avoids delays.Recommended

Apply early — don't wait until the last minute
E-visa processing can take up to 3 business days. If you apply too close to your departure, you risk not getting the visa in time. Apply at least 1-2 weeks before your flight.
Keep digital copies of everything
Save your e-visa, passport bio page, return ticket, and hotel booking as PDFs or screenshots on your phone. If you lose the printed copies, you'll still have them.
