What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the official Lesotho eVisa portal. Fill in your personal details, passport info, travel dates, and accommodation. Upload a scanned copy of your passport bio page and a passport-sized photo. Pay the fee with a credit or debit card. Submit and wait for approval — usually 2–5 business days.
2
Receive and save your eVisa
You'll get an email with the eVisa approval. Download the PDF and save it on your phone, and print a paper copy as backup. Immigration at Moshoeshoe I International Airport or any land border will scan the QR code on it.
3
Prepare your documents for arrival
Before you land, have your passport, eVisa printout or phone screenshot, return ticket, and accommodation confirmation ready. Keep them in your hand luggage — not checked bags.
4
Arrive and go through immigration
At Moshoeshoe I International Airport, follow signs to 'Passport Control'. Hand over your passport and eVisa. The officer may ask how long you're staying and where. Answer clearly. They'll stamp you in — usually for up to 30 days.
