eVisa is mandatory — no visa on arrival for Nigerians
Nigerian passport holders cannot get a visa on arrival in Zimbabwe. You must have an approved eVisa before you board your flight. Airlines check this before issuing a boarding pass.
Passport validity counts from entry date
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you enter Zimbabwe, not from your departure date. If it's close to expiring, renew it before applying for the eVisa.

Apply for eVisa online
Go to the official Zimbabwe eVisa website (evisa.gov.zw). Fill in your personal and passport details, upload a passport photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee with a credit or debit card. Processing usually takes 3–7 business days.

Receive eVisa approval
You'll get an email with your eVisa approval. Download and print a copy, or save it on your phone. Keep it with your passport.

Pack your documents
Before you leave, gather: printed eVisa, passport (6+ months validity), return ticket, first night hotel booking, and travel insurance documents. Keep them in your carry-on.

Arrival at Zimbabwe airport
At Harare or Victoria Falls airport, go to immigration. Present your passport and eVisa. The officer may ask for your return ticket and hotel booking. They'll stamp your passport — usually valid for up to 30 days.
