Azerbaijan entry requirements for Netherlands passport holders
Dutch passport holders need an eVisa to enter Azerbaijan. The application is entirely online and takes a few minutes. As of 2026, the eVisa allows a single entry and a stay of up to 30 days.
Entry requirements
| Requirement | Details | Status |
|---|---|---|
| eVisa application Apply before travel | Apply for an Azerbaijan eVisa at evisa.gov.az at least 3 working days before departure. The visa costs $26 USD (plus service fee) and is valid for a single entry up to 30 days. Print the approved eVisa and carry it with your passport — immigration at Baku Heydar Aliyev Airport will scan the QR code.Apply for eVisa | Required |
| Valid passport Must cover entire stay | Your Dutch passport must be valid for the entire duration of your stay in Azerbaijan. No minimum validity period beyond your departure date is required by law, but airlines may check for at least 3 months validity at check-in. | Required |
| Return or onward ticket Required for entry | Immigration officers at Baku airport routinely ask for proof of onward travel. Have a printed or digital copy of your return flight or a ticket to your next destination ready. | Required |
| Proof of accommodation Hotel booking or invitation letter | Carry a printed hotel reservation or an invitation letter from your host in Azerbaijan. Border officers may ask where you are staying, especially if you arrive without a pre-booked hotel. | Recommended |
| Proof of funds Show sufficient cash or card | Have access to at least $50 USD per day of your stay. A bank statement or credit card with available limit works — immigration rarely checks this for Dutch passport holders, but it's safer to have evidence. | Recommended |
