Proof of accommodation

Carry a hotel reservation or an invitation letter from your host in Côte d'Ivoire. Officers may ask for it at immigration, especially if you're staying more than a few days.Recommended

Show you can support yourself
Have evidence of sufficient funds for your stay, such as a bank statement or credit card. There's no set minimum amount, but around €50–€100 per day is a safe benchmark.Recommended
Yellow fever vaccine is mandatory
You must have the yellow fever vaccine and carry your yellow card. Immigration checks this at the airport. No card, no entry.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the visa online
Go to the official e-visa portal (snedai.com) and fill out the application. Upload a passport photo and your passport data page. Pay the fee (around €70–€100 depending on processing time). You'll receive a confirmation email within a few days.
2
Wait for approval
Processing usually takes 3–5 business days. Check your email (and spam folder) for the approval. Print the approval letter or save it on your phone.
3
Arrive at the airport
At Abidjan's Félix-Houphouët-Boigny International Airport, head to the visa-on-arrival desk (even though you applied online, they'll issue the sticker there). Show your passport, approval letter, and return ticket. Pay the visa fee in cash (€ or XOF) if not already paid online. Get the sticker in your passport.
4
Go through immigration
Present your passport with the visa sticker, your boarding pass, and your accommodation confirmation. They may ask about your purpose of visit and how long you're staying. Answer clearly. You'll get an entry stamp.
