Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Required before travel
Apply for a Cameroon eVisa at evisacameroon.com at least 7 days before departure. The eVisa is valid for a single entry and covers stays up to 90 days. Print the approval letter and carry it with your passport — immigration at Douala and Yaoundé airports will check it before stamping you in.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must cover entire stay
Your Norwegian passport needs at least 6 months of remaining validity from your date of entry into Cameroon. Airlines at Gardermoen and connecting hubs enforce this strictly — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Required for entry
Immigration officers at Douala and Yaoundé airports always ask for a confirmed onward or return ticket. Have a printed copy or show it on your phone — they will not let you through without proof of departure from Cameroon.Required
Proof of accommodation
Recommended to carry
Hotel bookings or a letter of invitation from a host in Cameroon help speed up the immigration process. Officers rarely demand it, but having a printed reservation avoids delays if they ask.Recommended
Proof of funds
Recommended to carry
Carry cash (Euros or CFA francs) or a bank statement showing at least 500 EUR equivalent for your stay. Immigration may ask how you plan to support yourself — having proof ready avoids being questioned further.Recommended
No visa on arrival
There is no visa-on-arrival for Norwegian passport holders. You must have an approved eVisa before you fly. Airlines will check this before boarding.
Yellow fever certificate required
You need proof of yellow fever vaccination. Carry your yellow card with your passport — it's checked at immigration and customs.
