Visa on arrival
Visa on arrival
You get a visa on arrival at Beirut–Rafic Hariri International Airport. Pay the fee in cash (USD or Lebanese pounds) — single entry costs around $50 USD. Have a printed copy of your hotel booking and return ticket ready at the visa counter.Check visa detailsRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your departure date from Lebanon
Your passport needs at least 6 months of validity left from the day you leave Lebanon. Airlines check this at check-in — if your passport expires sooner, you'll be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Required for visa on arrival
You need a confirmed onward or return ticket before you land. Immigration at Beirut Airport checks this at the visa-on-arrival counter — without one, they may deny entry or send you back.Required
Proof of accommodation
Recommended to have ready
Have your hotel booking confirmation printed or saved on your phone. The visa officer may ask where you're staying — a booking makes the process smoother.Recommended
Proof of funds
Recommended to have ready
Carry at least $1,000 USD in cash or have a credit card with available limit. Immigration rarely asks, but showing funds speeds things up if questioned.Recommended
Security situation can change quickly
Lebanon's security situation is volatile. Check your government's travel advisories before booking. Avoid border areas with Syria and Israel. Always have a backup plan.
Cash is king in Lebanon
ATMs often run out of cash, and card payments are unreliable. Bring enough US dollars or euros in cash for your entire stay. You can exchange at local bureaux de change.
