Uganda entry requirements for Nepal passport holders
Nepalese passport holders need an eVisa to enter Uganda. Apply online before you travel. Your passport must have at least 6 months of validity from your arrival date. This requirement is in effect for 2026.
Entry requirements
| Requirement | Details | Status |
|---|---|---|
| eVisa application Uganda eVisa | Apply for your Uganda eVisa at the official Uganda eVisa portal before you travel. Processing usually takes 2–3 business days, and you'll receive an approval letter by email. Print that letter and carry it with your passport — immigration at Entebbe will check it before stamping you in.Apply for eVisa | Required |
| Valid passport Must be valid for the duration of stay | Your Nepalese passport needs to be valid for at least the full period you plan to stay in Uganda. Airlines at Kathmandu may ask to see it before letting you board, so check the expiry date before you head to the airport. | Required |
| Return or onward ticket Proof of departure from Uganda | Immigration officers at Entebbe routinely ask for a return or onward ticket showing you'll leave Uganda within your allowed stay. Have a printed copy or a screenshot ready on your phone — they won't let you through without one. | Required |
| Proof of accommodation Hotel booking or host invitation | Carry a printed hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your host in Uganda. Immigration may ask where you're staying, and having a booking confirmation speeds things up at the counter. | Recommended |
| Proof of funds Show you can support yourself | Have a bank statement or cash equivalent to about $200 USD per day of your stay. Officers rarely ask, but if they do, you'll need to show you have enough to cover your trip without working locally. | Recommended |
