Kosovo entry requirements for New Zealand passport holders
New Zealand passport holders can enter Kosovo without a visa for stays up to 90 days. From 2026, you just show up at Pristina International Airport or any land border and get a 90-day entry stamp. Your passport must be valid for at least six months from your arrival date.
Entry requirements
| Requirement | Details | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Valid passport Must be valid for the duration of your stay | Your New Zealand passport needs to be valid for the entire time you're in Kosovo. No minimum validity beyond your departure date is required by Kosovo law, but airlines may enforce their own 6-month rule — check with your carrier before flying. | Required |
| Return or onward ticket Proof of departure from Kosovo | Immigration at Pristina International Airport routinely asks for proof of onward travel. Have a printed or digital copy of your return flight or a ticket to your next destination ready. Overland exit is also accepted if you're leaving by bus. | Recommended |
| Proof of accommodation Hotel booking or host invitation | Border officers may ask where you're staying. A hotel confirmation email or a letter from a host with their address and phone number is enough. No need for a full itinerary — just the first night's booking usually satisfies them. | Recommended |
| Proof of funds Show you can support yourself | Kosovo doesn't publish a minimum amount, but having around €100–150 per day in cash or a credit card statement helps. I've never been asked for this at Pristina, but it's smart to carry a bank statement or a screenshot of your balance. | Recommended |
